Bedtime Digestion Tea: Ginger and Mint

giner tea benefitsDevoured a heavy meal or feel bloated? Ginger is highly beneficial in encouraging the digestion process and is an anti-inflammatory agent that helps when Aunt Flo comes to visit. Ginger also aids your body in absorbing essential nutrients and enzymes from food, fights respiratory infection and relives stress.  Skip the traditional warm milk and replace it with this go-to tea for a restful and healing beauty sleep.

Drink every evening for two months to get the full benefits of this amazing tea.

Serving: 1 cup

1 ½ cup filtered/clean water

1 inch fresh Ginger root

8-12 Mint leaves

  1. Grind ginger with a cheese grater
  2. Add water, ginger, and mint leaves to a small pot and bring to a rolling boil
  3. Once boiling, cover and remove from the heat
  4. Let the tea sit for 20 minutes
  5. After 20 minutes, remove excess ginger and leaves by straining the tea
  6. Enjoy and sleep well

Monk Tip: Ginger’s taste is strong so you can work your way up to more each time. Add more mint leaves to combat the ginger taste. I also love to add fresh chopped lemongrass.benfits of ginger tea
