For those looking to reduce their daily coffee intake, this is a phenomenal way to trick your senses and still get an extra boost in the morning. If you’re not ready to give up your Joe quite yet, no worries, you can also use real coffee for this recipe.
Remember, coffee is acidic and dis-eases flourish and dance in acidic environments. Keep your insides from having a house party that brings guests like the Flu, Inflammation, and the main attraction, Cancer. Coffee, is also one of the most pesticide sprayed crops in the world! Makes sense since we are a GLOBAL community addicted to caffeine. Not everyone is ready to cut their love affair with coffee so if that’s you, try and stick to organic coffee. You can use one to the following coffee substitutes for this recipe or do your own research and find what works and tastes best for you.
Pero Instant Natural Beverage: Contains barley, rye, and chicory. No caffeine and tastes just like coffee.
Gano Cafe Classic: 50% black strong coffee and 50% ganoderma lucidum extract, or red red reishi (an immune boosting mushroom).
More information on the “adventures of coffee substitutes” to come but for now, I’m loving the Gano Cafe Classic.
Serving: 2 cups / 1 large 8 oz. glass
What you need:
1 cup coffee substitute of your choice
2 teaspoons of Maca extract
1 tablespoon of tahini
1/2 a banana
3 turkish figs (chopped)
3 drops of english toffee stevia extract (optional)
1 cup of ice
Get to it:
1. Blend all the above ingredients in a blender and enjoy.
Monk Tip: If you’re looking for a stronger, pungent coffee taste, put less ice. You can also add more banana for a sweeter flavor. This tastes even better than a Starbucks frappe.

SUPER YUMMY! Love it.
