Raw Chia Seed Jam

easy healthy recipes - Chai Seed Jam

Enjoy this incredible raw version of Jam. It’s easy, quick, and I promise once you start making your own, you will never be able to taste store-bought jelly the same way.

Serving: 2 cups

What you need:

1 cup organic strawberries, tops removed and chopped

1/2 cup organic blueberries

1/4 cup chia seeds

1/4 cup clean water

1 tablespoon  maple syrup

1/2 teaspoon of stevia

Get to it:

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend on low speed or pulse to break up the fruit but avoiding a juice-like consistency. Keeping the mixture some what clumpy.
  3. Pour into a glass jar and store in the refrigerator.
  4. Wait at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the jam to harden.

Monk Tip: You can use any fruit of your choice. I also love to the mixture of peaches and raspberries. The key is to pick fruit that is in season for ultimate freshness. Summertime brings us a nice variety of berries but in the winter you should stick with tangerines as your base.
