What Is Our True Nature?

Daily Inspiration for Loving Life

Have you ever watched a movie that moved you so much you found yourself crying as the credits were rolling? Have you ever watched one of those YouTube videos of a skateboarder dramatically falling on his you-know-what and felt his pain? My guess is sure you have, and there is a reason for this. Our connection to one another is undeniably the most important aspect of our story on earth. Science is discovering unprecedented material about our relationships to others and that our illusionary concepts of separation are causing an insane society. So let’s dive right into it so we can stop our mental disabilities and get back to our True Nature for a truly prosperous life and world.

Where Did We Go Wrong?

Our culture is teaching us how to measure “the Good Life” through large houses, hundred-thousand-dollar cars, and the newest gadgets marketers throw at us. At a very young age, we are taught that competition and greed are essential to success and that we must always consider self-interest over our natural communal tendencies. “Get more stuff and store more stuff than your neighbor” is an idea that is heavily ingrained in our subconscious through savvy marketing techniques and classical “Darwinian” beliefs.

Darwin “Sharwin”

The story we have been led to believe is that our society operates on survival of the fittest. Unfortunately, Darwin’s principles were interpreted incorrectly that we tend to think that the strong must tread on the weak. Interestingly enough, the book from which these principles were extracted and made famous, The Descent of Man, mentions survival of the fittest twice and the word “love” 95 times. Darwin continues to explain that the strongest instinct in human nature is our ability to sympathize—hence why we are naturally affected when we see others hurt.

We have not evolved based on our strong teeth or muscles. We have evolved based on our ability to become a community and help one another. Yes, it’s the “Kumbaya” hippie mantra that makes humanity whole and puts us back on track to our true selves of awesomeness.

It’s in Our DNA

The basis of nature is cooperation and democracy. What so few of us know is that we are wired to belong and be compassionate. Since the start of man, our ancestors have maintained community based on helping one another. All ancient civilizations and native tribes function at their highest potential with one fundamental concept: cooperation.

our-true-nature-2Another critical part of our connection to one another is our emotions or feelings. Human emotionality creates a very real energetic field. As author and chief scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, Dean Radin discovered, “when mass minds become highly focused, something about the physical environment changes as well.” In other words, those lovey-dovey feelings or negative thoughts affect the environment you create on a level we have not noticed until now. Your conscious awareness changes the fabric of life in the world we live in. So yup, you got it! You can shape your world merely on the love you express to yourself and others. Science is proving that our connection to all that we create stems from the heart. We are in a participatory universe, and it will serve your greatest good by nurturing your relationships with others.

Go On, Create a Life Worth Living!

This is not to say that you cannot excel in your business or live in a nice house or drive a great car. The question we need to ask ourselves is, when is it enough? At what point has our happiness been fulfilled from within? We are by nature a collective culture, and we will serve a greater good if our intentions are aimed at leaving a positive footprint for generations to come. War, murder, and recessions are not our intended history—it is a story we have created with the idea that we are separate from one another. If you can change your focus to improving the collective, your potential will surely far exceed your wildest dreams.

So now, ask yourself, How creative am I? How can I add value to my life and the lives of others?

Sending Cosmic Peace,

Victoria
