High on Hemp Milk

hemp-milk-recipeNow that I got your attention you won’t really be getting high on hemp seed milk. Although, once you make the switch from the modern version of milk you’ll watch your energy soar, your digestive track bow in gratefulness, and colds/flus visiting less often. This is your divine high or natural state.

Serving Size: 7 cups

What you need:

1 cup hemp seeds

7 cups of clean water

1 Teaspoon of cardamom

1 Teaspoon of Maple Syrup

Get to it:

  1. Place hemp seeds, water, cardamom, and maple syrup in a high speed blender.
  2. Blend for 60 to 90 seconds.
  3. Put milk through a cloth strainer and squeeze out all excess milk into a glass container.
  4. Store for a maximum of three days.

Monk Tip: Sometimes I skip the straining and leave the seeds in my milk. The texture will be odd for the first time but you get use to it. Also, always make sure to turn your bottle upside down once or twice before opening to mix the settlement found at the bottom of your milk.

An antique photo filter always seems appropriate for milk photography 🙂

You’ll make just over one liter of milk and is plenty for two people using it primarily for smoothies.
